Looking for spiritual renewal? Join us May 16, 2020. Washington, DC Christian women's conference. The Delve conference aims to disciple and encourage women to draw near to God. Our purpose is for women to walk away feeling refreshed, renewed, and revived in Christ.

WHAt TO EXPECT

Jackie Black will be joining us for the 2020 Delve women’s conference at Union Church teaching us about God’s Word. Come out from 9 am-2 pm to fellowship with other sisters in Christ and to grow deeper in the study of God’s Word. We hope you can join us!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: 

Jackie Black is the director of children's ministries and Biblical Counseling at Portico Arlington.


She is a rare local to the DC area, except for a short stint in Philly for grad school (M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary). Prior to working in church settings, she worked in adoption social work with a focus on family preparation and trauma. Her focus in Biblical counseling is working with various issues building from a Biblical anthropology and depth of Scripture. She works from a trauma informed education and practice. Areas of focus include: historical trauma, family relationships, anxiety, depression, spiritual formation, and marriage counseling.  


She is an adoring aunt to four niblings, (a nephew and three nieces), favorite daughter, and sister. Sports wins or losses dictate her mood on Monday mornings (#RollTide #ALLCAPS #Natitude #DistrictofChampions). Besides loving sports and family, she travels wherever and whenever she can.

Will there be free parking?

Yes! Parking & Accessibility –  The streets around the church are meter-free. A limited number of spaces are available in the parking lot located diagonally across the church (12th St NE & Rhode Island Ave NE). Parking in this lot is FREE.  *Please note: Parking is limited.  Carpooling, Taxi/Lyft/Uber is recommended.


Transit - The Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood metro stop (red line) is a few blocks away. Visit www.wmata.com for more information. 


If I am attending by myself will there be an opportunity for me to meet other ladies?

Yes! If you are attending this event solo, no worries! We are so glad to have you, and we are hosting a post-event meet & greet so that you can meet other ladies.


What about lunch?

We will have a limited number of lunches available. 


What if I have a specific food allergy?

If you have a food allergy, we encourage you to bring your own lunch or pick up lunch nearby.


Are there scholarships to attend Delve?

We want to make a way for any woman who wants to attend Delve to be able

to do so. If cost is a hindrance, please contact events@unionchurchdc.com.


What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring your Bible, a notebook and a pen.


Do I Have to be a Christian or have profound knowledge of the Bible to Attend?

No. 


Is childcare available?

Childcare is not available. Families are extremely important to us, but we are unable to accommodate children at the Delve Conference.  


What if I can no longer attend the event? Can I get a refund?

You will have until Sunday, May 8th, to request a refund. Unfortunately, after that date we are unable to issue refunds. Sorry friends, no exceptions! 


Will this event be all serious and stuffy?

No! It is our prayer that you will feel welcome and refreshed by the time we spend together growing deeper into God's Word and getting to know one another. So dress comfy, bring your Bible if you have one, and get ready to learn and grow!
